New Databases: McGraw-Hill eBook Lib: Business; UPSO: Sociology

These new databases/modules can now be accessed via the Library website.
1.  McGraw-Hill eBook Library: Business Collection
McGraw-Hill eBook Library contains e-book titles available in the subscribed business collection, including clusters of Business Skills, Career Advice, Entrepreneurship & Small Business Management, Finance & Investing, Human Resources & Training, Leadership & Management, Process Management, Real Estate, Sales & Marketing.
Users can create their own accounts, add notes, bookmarks and highlights, and print parts of the book for their personal use.
2. University Press Scholarship Online: Sociology
The database includes the collection of full texts and abstracts of classic and newly published University Press books in sociology. The titles subscribed currently cover sociology modules under the California Press Scholarship Online and Policy Press Scholarship Online.
3. Oxford Scholarship Online (New Modules: Law, Social Work, & Sociology)
Oxford Scholarship Online is a cross-searchable collection providing access to the full texts of Oxford books in selected subject areas including: Business & Management, Economics & Finance, History, Law, Literature, Psychology, Social Work, & Sociology.

New Databases: PsycEXTRA; PsycTESTS

You can access the new database via the Library website.
1. EBSCO: PsycEXTRA
PsycEXTRA, produced by the American Psychological Association (APA), is a bibliographic and full-text companion to the scholarly PsycINFO database.
The document types included in PsycEXTRA consist of technical, annual and government reports, conference papers, newsletters, magazines, newspapers, consumer brochures and more.
It contains around 200,000 records that are not indexed in any other APA database.
2. PsycTESTS
PsycTESTS is a research database that provides access to psychological tests, measures, scales, surveys, and other assessments as well as descriptive information about the test, its development and administration.

Minimum Browser Requirements for EBSCO Interfaces

The Minimum Browser Requirements for EBSCO interfaces are as follows:

Internet Explorer 7.0 or later
FireFox 8.0 or later
Safari 5.1 or later
Google Chrome 16 or later
Other JavaScript, cookies enabled

The recommended screen resolution for EBSCOhost is 1024 x 768. See the first note below for exceptions.
Macintosh OS9 users who cannot run the latest Netscape version 7.2 can download a compatible version by clicking HERE, and then click the “Download Now” link inside right-hand column.
How do I update my browser?
Notes:

  • The recommended screen resolution for Nursing Reference Center (NRC), Rehabilitation Reference Center (RRC), and Patient Education Reference Center (PERC) is 1280 x 1024.
  • Internet Explorer 8 users should turn off Compatibility View by clicking the button next to the web address bar in their browser. Compatibility View may cause some areas of EBSCO interfaces to not display correctly.
  • Mac users trying to open PDF files using the Safari 5.1 browser must install the Schubert|It PDF plug-in to view PDFs at this time.
  • Adobe Flash Player 8.0 or later is required to use Visual Search in EBSCOhost.
  • Adobe Flash Player 10.0 or later is required to use Text-To-Speech on interfaces in which it is available.
  • The Netscape browser is not supported by EBSCOhost, however some EBSCO applications may run using this type of browser.
  • Page Composer will not appear for users who do not have browsers that meet these requirements.
