New database: SAGE Research Methods Suite

Below is the new database which could be accessed via library website.
1. SAGE Research Methods Suite
SAGE Research Methods Suite (SRM Suite) includes SAGE Research Methods (SRM), SAGE Research Methods Cases (SRMC) and SAGE Research Methods Datasets (SRMD).
SAGE Research Methods is a research methods tool created to help researchers, faculty and students with their research projects. SAGE Research Methods links over 175,000 pages of SAGE’s renowned book, journal and reference content with truly advanced search and discovery tools. Researchers can explore methods concepts to help them design research projects, understand particular methods or identify a new method, conduct their research, and write up their findings. Since SAGE Research Methods focuses on methodology rather than disciplines, it can be used across the social sciences, health sciences, and more.
SAGE Research Methods Cases is a collection of case studies of real social research that faculty can use in their teaching. Cases are original, specially commissioned, and designed to help students understand often abstract methodological concepts by introducing them to case studies of real research projects.
SAGE Research Methods Datasets is a collection of teaching datasets that can be used to support the teaching and independent learning of quantitative and qualitative analytical methods used in the social sciences. These are datasets taken from larger national and international data sources, cleaned and reduced in size and complexity for teaching and self-study purposes, perfect for researchers learning a new method or brushing up on an old one.

書籍贈送給畢業同學

大時代普通話終極講台 作者張開齡女士委託本館，向本校四年級本科畢業同學贈送 大時代普通話終極講台 書籍合共一百套，以供同學研習普通話之用。該書一套四冊，並附光碟八張。同學如有興趣，可於圖書館開放時間內，親攜學生證往圖書館二樓櫃檯登記並領取。數量有限，送完即止。每位畢業同學限取一套。

圖 書 館 通 告: 給 四 年 級 畢 業 生 的 提 示


1. 畢業生如需退回保證金，請填妥「申請退回保證金」表格，由五月五日(星期四)起，前往本館地下或三樓櫃檯辦理手續(三樓櫃檯只提供這項服務至五月底)。

2. 畢業生必須完成以下圖書館帳戶結算，才能辦理手續:
(a)歸還圖書館資料(如有)及(b)繳付罰款(如有)；

3. 如需檢查圖書館帳戶狀況，請登入本館Primo網頁查詢：http://goo.gl/biErVL

4. 完成帳戶結算的畢業生*，本館職員會在該表格蓋印，便即時不能借閱圖書館資料及在館外使用線上資料庫，但仍可進入本館閱讀及使用設施，直至2016年8月31日止。

5. 如欲在畢業後繼續使用圖書館服務，請申請校友證，有關詳情，請瀏覽網頁http://goo.gl/RvaXgF 或與本館職員聯絡。
*今屆畢業的四年級畢業生，於6月30日後將不能借閱圖書館資料及在館外使用線上資料庫。




Library Notice – Friendly Advice to Year 4 Final Students

1. If Year 4 final students (the graduates) would like to apply for deposit refund, please fill in a form and go to our G/F or 3/F counter to proceed beginning from 5 May 2016 (Thursday). (Service at 3/F counter will be stopped after 31 May 2016)

2. Before process of application, the graduates should clear library accounts by (a) Return all items on loan (if any), and (b) Pay any fine;

3. To check status of a library account, please login at our Prime web page: http://goo.gl/biErVL

4. After account clearing, the form will be stamped by library staff. The graduates* will immediately loss borrowing privileges and remote access right of online databases.
They can still enjoy reading and use facilities at the Library until 31 August 2016.

5. If the graduate wants to continue use of library service, please apply an alumni card. For details, please visit the web page http://goo.gl/RvaXgF or contact library staff.

New database: Thomson Reuters Eikon

Thomson Reuters Eikon can be accessed by clicking the icon on the PC (3B1) in 3/F Special Collection Room.

Thomson Reuters Eikon delivers a powerful combination of information, analytics and exclusive news on financial markets – delivered in an elegant and intuitive desktop and mobile interface. It covers all the major financial markets – equity, fixed income, commodities, foreign exchange and provides effective compliance and risk management, investment management and wealth management solutions. The content and analytics package includes pricing data, financial research, global financial news and commentary, financial estimates, fundamentals analysis, and visual analysis through charting.
