Wong Mong-Hei (1933-2013) was a distinguished media veteran with a career spanning several prominent newspapers, including the Sing Tao Evening Post and Jornal Cheng Pou.
Wong Mong-Hei (1933-2013) was a distinguished media veteran with a career spanning several prominent newspapers, including the Sing Tao Evening Post and Jornal Cheng Pou. He began his teaching journey in the Department of Journalism and Communication at Shue Yan College (now Hong Kong Shue Yan University) in 1976, where he played a pivotal role in nurturing countless journalism talents.
Professor Wong was cherished by his students for his rigorous teaching approach and extensive practical experience. His distinctive teaching style, characterized by handwritten notes and clear, insightful explanations, ignited a passion for journalism among his students and encouraged them to pursue excellence in the field.
In recognition of his contributions, the University Archives now houses a collection of Professor Wong’s lecture notes, teaching materials, and photographs, generously donated by his family. If you are interested, please make an appointment to view these valuable resources.
