它收錄租界相關的條約章程、洋務官員電報、民國的租界報告文件、民國時期租界史和制度研究文章，內容多以上海租界為主。另外， 資料庫還收錄了地方官而非中央政府與外國簽署的有關租界的章程、合同。當中許多相關約章採用了外文的中譯本，中文文本和原文影像過往未見留存，有助於使用者完整了解晚清租界地歷史的原貌。
