WDL is a top-notch scholar database for dissertations, theses, and academic papers. With over 2,000 educational institutions from 150+ countries and regions, it offers exceptional information services to educators, researchers, and students in various disciplines such as technology, social sciences, economy, management science, and more.
The trial period for WDL is now available until 30 April 2024.
Due to the renovation project in the Library, the Learning Commons on the 6/F of the Library will be temporarily closed from Monday, 26th February 2024 for 2 months approximately.
During this period, the following services on the 6/F of the Library will be affected:
1. Discussion Rooms
The discussion rooms located on the 6/F will be unavailable. Please use the Presentation Room on the 5/F.
2. Learning Laboratory
The computing services in the Learning Laboratory will be unavailable.Please use other PC workstations in the Library. Additional PC workstations will be installed on the 2/F. If you want to book the Learning Laboratory for teaching propose, please feel free to email us at libinfo@hksyu.edu.
3. Relocation of Photocopiers
The photocopiers and the Express Printing Station from the 2/F to 5/F of the Library will continue to provide services to library users. The photocopier for academic staff will be relocated to the 4/F during this period.

Users can access over 7,000 trusted newspapers and magazines through PressReader. It offers quality content from more than 120 countries in over 60 different languages.
The new function – Advanced Search, has been enhanced. Users can now make use of extended search strings and new Boolean operators, enabling them to explore their fields of study and research more extensively.
Starting from 8 January 2024, we would like to inform you that accessing E-resources on campus will now require login authentication. Previously, users did not need to log in to access E-resources while on campus.
To access E-resources on campus, you will simply need to
enter your Shue Yan webmail account when prompted. This new authentication
requirement applies to both on-campus and off-campus access, ensuring the
security and integrity of our valuable E-resources.
