Mr. Justin Ho, a representative from the Intellectual Property Department (IPD), delivered a workshop on Copyright and Artificial Intelligence (AI) yesterday, introducing the concept of Intellectual Property and the latest developments in Hong Kong’s copyright regime.The talk covered three main topics:
- Copyright protection of AI-generated works;
- Copyright infringement liability for AI-generated works; and
- Using copyrighted works to train AI systems.
