Lost &amp; Found<\/a><\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul><\/div>\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span id=\"GF_One-Stop_Service\"><strong><b data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">G\/F One-Stop Service<\/b><\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span id=\"A_GF_Service_Counter\"><strong>A.\u00a0 G\/F Service <strong>Counter<\/strong><\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<div>\r\n<p>We will have a centralized service point at the G\/F Service Counter (<a href=\"https:\/\/library.hksyu.edu\/lib\/library-opening-hours\/\">service hours<\/a>) where you can handle all your library needs at one location, including:<\/p>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<div>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>Borrowing regular items<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<div>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>Borrowing External Reader Cards: Click <a href=\"https:\/\/library.hksyu.edu\/lib\/access-to-other-libraries\/#A_External_Reader_Cards\">here<\/a> for details\u00a0<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<div>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>Collecting Alumni Reader or Borrower Cards<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<div>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>Borrowing iPads and laptops<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\r\n<div>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>Checking out closed-stack Course Reserve materials<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<div>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>\r\n<div>Lost &amp; found services<\/div>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p>Special opening hours will be posted on the Library\u2019s notice board at the G\/F entrance.<\/p>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<h3><span id=\"B_Self-Check_Machine\"><strong>B.\u00a0 Self-Check Machine<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\r\n<p>Users are welcome to use the machine to check out normal-loan books during Library&#8217;s opening hours.<\/p>\r\n<h3><span id=\"C_Book_Drop\"><strong>C.\u00a0 Book Drop\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\r\n<p>The Book Drop is located near the Library entrance, to return Library books.<\/p>\r\n<p>Please note that the overdue books and non-print materials should not be returned to the Book Drop.<\/p>\r\n<p>Click\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/library.hksyu.edu\/lib\/returning\/#A_Book_Drop_Service\">here<\/a> for details.<\/p>\r\n<h3><span id=\"D_247_Self-Service_Pickup_at_Smart_Locker\"><strong>D.\u00a0 24\/7 Self-Service Pickup at Smart Locker<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\r\n<p>Located on the G\/F of the Library Complex, the Smart Locker for Self-Service Pickup provides the following items:<\/p>\r\n<ol>\r\n<li>Requested library materials with normal loan period (Reserved)<\/li>\r\n<li>Interlibrary Loan (ILL) materials (Reserved)\u00a0<\/li>\r\n<li>External reader cards for the following institutions (Loan):\u00a0\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>Lingnan University<\/li>\r\n<li>Hong Kong Baptist University<\/li>\r\n<li>The Chinese University of Hong Kong<\/li>\r\n<li>The University of Hong Kong\u00a0<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n<p>Click <a href=\"https:\/\/library.hksyu.edu\/lib\/smartlocker\/\">here<\/a> for details.<\/p>\r\n<h3><span id=\"E_UV-C_Book_Sterilizer\"><strong>E.\u00a0 UV-C Book Sterilizer<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\r\n<p>The Library has installed an ultraviolet (UV-C) book sterilizer on G\/F for the sterilization of books and multimedia materials.<br \/><br \/>You can put up to 6 items at a time into the machine for a 30-second cleaning process. Please do not place any wet materials. <br \/><br \/>Click <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=0g2HSDGYf_A\">here<\/a> to follow the instruction.<\/p>\r\n<h3><span id=\"F_Detection_Alarm_System\"><strong>F. Detection Alarm System<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\r\n<p>The security system is installed in the Library. Please check out Library materials when you leave the Library.<br \/><br \/>If you hear our security alarm on while you are leaving, please do not push the Library gate. It would be much appreciated if you can bring along with all Library materials to the Service Counter for checking out again.<\/p>\r\n<h3><span id=\"G_Lost_Found\"><strong>G. Lost &amp; Found<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\r\n<p>Lost items found in the Library will be sent to the G\/F Service Counter. You can claim lost property by showing proof of ownership. Unclaimed items will be transferred to the Facilities Management Office at RHB 206, High Block, Research Complex, on the next working weekday.
