Chatham House Online Archive, 1920 – 2008 (Module 1-2)

Chatham House Online Archive contains the publications and meetings audio recordings and transcriptions of the Royal Institute of International Affairs (Chatham House), the world-leading independent international affairs policy institute founded in 1920.

The Institute's analysis and research, as well as debates and speeches it has hosted, can be found in this online archive, subject-indexed and fully searchable, offering high-level analysis and research on almost 100 years of global events and issues.

This online archive consists of the following two modules:
  • Module 1: 1920-1979
    This part contains nearly 60 years of high-level analysis and research on global trends and key events and issues, from the aftermath of World War I into the Cold War.
     
  • Module 2: 1980-2008
    This part contains high-level analysis and research on global trends and key events and issues from the latter part of Cold War to the War on Terror.

Eighteenth Century Collection Online

Eighteenth Century Collections Online (ECCO) is a vast fully text-searchable corpus of books, pamphlets and broadsides in all subjects printed between 1701 and 1800. It has a special emphasis on literature, social science and religion. In addition, it also is a digital collection of 18th-century works from the English Short-title Catalogue (ESTC), covering publications from Britain, Ireland, British colonies, and the United States.
 
The library’s subscribed content includes:
  1. ECCO, Part I
    It includes printed primary sources from books, directories and pamphlets, to sermons, bibles and sheet music.
     
  2. ECCO, Part II
    It has a special emphasis on literature, social science and religion, but also includes rare works by eighteenth-century women writers, a collection on the French Revolution, and numerous editions of Shakespeare's works.
