Regulations of Using Discussion Rooms, Presentation Room, and Discussion Corner

There are two Discussion Rooms at 6/F Digital Imaging Lab (DIL601), one Presentation Room on 5/F, and one Discussion Corner on 3/F. These are available for group studying or meetings.

  • Discussion Rooms at 6/F DIL601: for groups of THREE to SIX
  • Presentation Room on 5/F: for groups of SEVEN to TEN
  • Discussion Corner on 3/F: for groups of THREE to FOUR

Booking Guidelines

  • The rooms can be booked by students or staff via online Room Booking System on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • To book the rooms via online system, users should use the below login method:
    • Staff Login: Same as Veriguide/ Webmail/ Moodle
    • Student Login: Student number and password
  • One user can reserve for 2 sessions per day. Each session is 30 minutes.
  • Users should view the room booking status before reserving a room.
  • A confirmation email will be sent to the users.
  • The 3/F Discussion Corner and 6/F Discussion Rooms can be booked 1 Day in advance, and the 5/F Presentation Room can be booked 3 Days in advance.

Regulations of Using the Rooms

  • Users must observe Library regulations, and keep the room in good order.
  • Food and drink are not allowed in the rooms.
  • Users are responsible for any damage of the facilities in the rooms.
  • The Library is not responsible for any loss or damage of personal items left unattended in the rooms.

Room Facilities

The rooms are equipped with:

  • White boards
  • PC workstations 
  • Projector (5/F only)
  • Users can bring in their notebook computers for connection to the University’s network through WiFi.
